This policy applies to Sezhumi, operated by Sezhumi, for the Sezhumi website, customer account, checkout, order support, and related communication channels.
Information We Collect
We collect information needed to run an ecommerce service, including name, email address, mobile number, login and OTP verification details, saved addresses, cart and order details, return or support requests, product reviews, newsletter or stock-notification preferences, and customer communication records.
We may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser or device details, request logs, security events, and payment, refund, or delivery status identifiers returned by our service providers.
How We Use Information
We use customer information to create and secure accounts, send OTPs, process carts and orders, collect payment status, arrange delivery, issue invoices, manage cancellations, returns, refunds, wallet balances, subscriptions, rewards, support requests, fraud checks, service improvements, legal compliance, and operational reporting.
Payments And OTP
Online payments are handled through payment gateway partners such as Razorpay. Sezhumi does not store full card, UPI, net-banking, or wallet credentials on its servers. For mobile OTP, account OTP, checkout phone verification, and delivery verification, we may use SMS, email, or WhatsApp providers and store masked delivery logs for audit and abuse prevention.
Retention And Security
We retain personal information for as long as required to provide services, meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, consumer-protection, and legal obligations, or resolve disputes. We use access controls, encrypted credentials, audit logging, and provider-side security practices to protect customer information, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free.
Customer Choices And Rights
Customers may request correction, access, account support, communication preference changes, or deletion where legally permitted. Some order, invoice, tax, payment, security, and fraud records may need to be retained even after an account or marketing preference is changed.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Sezhumi mobile app under Account → “Delete account”, after confirming your password, or by emailing support@sezhumi.com. Deletion immediately deactivates the account, signs you out everywhere, and removes or anonymizes your name, contact details, login credentials, saved addresses, cart, wishlist, family profiles, recently viewed products, stock alerts, and marketing preferences.
Order, invoice, tax, payment, refund, wallet, return, and security or fraud records are retained as required by law and disassociated from your active profile. Full details are on our account deletion page.
Children
Sezhumi is intended for customers who can lawfully place orders or who use the service with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect children's information for independent account use.
